	Horizontal Machining Center; 40" x 18" x 22" (1016 x 457 559 mm), 40 taper, fully integrated 210 mm trunnion table, 20 hp (14.9 kW) vector drive, inline direct-drive, 8000 rpm, 24+1 side-mount tool changer, chip auger system, 1 MB program memory, 15" color LCD monitor, USB port and rigid tapping. The ES-5-TR's dual-axis trunnion provides full 5-axis simultaneous motion, or can position a workpiece to nearly any angle for machining. The trunnion provides ±120 degrees of tilt and a full 360 degrees of continuous rotation. It can accommodate parts with a swing up to 23.5" (597 mm) and weighing up to 200 lb (91 kg) (part and fixture). The trunnion's 210 mm platter features six precision T-slots equally spaced at 60 degrees for easy fixturing. High-lead ballscrews and high-torque servomotors on all axes of the ES-5-TR provide rapids to 1000 ipm (454 m/min) to reduce cycle times, and a 24+1 side-mount tool changer swaps tools quickly to keep non-machining time to a minimum. For added performance, an optional 12,000-rpm spindle powered by a 30 hp (22.4 kW) vector dual-drive system is available. This spindle provides more power than the standard spindle, as well as additional speed for high-speed machining operations.
