Haas Technical Center
University of Kentucky College of Engineering
Center for Robotics & Manufacturing Systems (CRMS)
LexingtonThe University of Kentucky Haas Technical
Center officially opened on August 13, 2002. Haas Factory Outlet, A
Division of Midwest Manufacturing Resources, is thrilled to be
established in such a fine institution.
We would like to thank the following people for their help
in bringing all this together:

Dr. Thomas Lester, Dean, College of Engineering
Dr. Lawrence Holloway, Deputy Director, CRMS
Prof. I.S. Jawahir, Director, Machining Research Program
Richard Anderson, Lab Manager, CRMS

Major activities in the Haas Manufacturing
Engineering Laboratory at the University of Kentucky include
training students in CNC programming, part manufacturing and
quality control. Hands-on work in the Haas Lab is required of
all mechanical engineering students.
Components of several student design projects, including various
racing vehicles, have been machined in the lab. The College of
Engineering's Machining Research Program also makes use of the Haas
Lab.
