The Haas GR Series gantry routers have power to cut aluminum and other metals, and the speed to cut various plastics and other light materials. The rigid steel construction of the GR Series machines provides a very stable cutting platform, and a thick aluminum table is standard. These machines easily handle large sheets, or can machine small parts by the thousand. A traveling guard protects the operator from chips and coolant, and keeps the workspace clean.
All Haas spindles are designed and built in-house in our Southern California manufacturing facility. The standard Gantry Series 40-taper spindle provides 8100 rpm for routing aluminum, plastic, and other light materials. For higher-speed applications, there’s an optional spindle to suit your machining needs, with a 10,000-rpm or 15,000-rpm spindle available.

The number of tools you need in your machine can vary by the job or machining process being performed. With Haas, you always have a selection of tool changer capacities to meet your needs. As with all systems on Haas machines, tool changers are designed and manufactured in-house to ensure the utmost quality and long-term reliability. The standard tool changer for the Gantry Series is a 10-station carousel-type tool changer; an optional 20-station tool changer is available.
Adding a rotary axis to a mill is the fastest way to boost throughput and increase accuracy. Because Haas began as a rotary table manufacturer, we are able to provide the simplest and most cost-effective entry into 4th- and 5th axis machining available. Additional axes can be added to any Gantry Series machine in the field, along with Haas rotary tables. Features built into the Haas Control, like G107 Cylindrical Engraving, only make the move to multi-axis machining that much easier.
