HRINOVSKE STROJARNE, A.S.

The company Hrinovske strojarne, a. s. has undergone successful restructuring also thanks to the HAAS machines, and has become a technology leader and global manufacturer of planetary gearboxes for civic engineering and axles for agricultural technology. The transmissions from Hrinova can be found in civic engineering (cranes, road rollers, concrete trucks), agricultural machinery (tractors, harvesters) and energy industry (wind turbines) worldwide. "Currently, we are among the cutting edge companies producing gearboxes and axles in the world. Our transmissions are used by companies from Western Europe, including the UK, through the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Australia, the USA to Latin America and Africa," concludes Jan Vilhan.

GAT TECHNOLOGY

“I first heard about Haas when I was at ABM; they had Haas machines,” says Mr. Gvožđar. “I knew the Haas CNC was easy to use, and that the service and support was good. Haas machines are also a good price – the best buy on the market!”

GAT today has 16 Haas models, including several vertical machining centres, 5-axis universal machining centers and lathes. The company’s latest additions, however, are two UMC-750 five-axis universal machining centres, the first to arrive in the region formerly known as Yugoslavia (Bosnia- Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia). The machines have been set to work producing parts such as clutch levers, which GAT designed in co-operation with its customer.

FUSION

"After the global crisis in 2008, we had to quickly respond to changing requirements of our clients. The lots were reduced, and annual volumes were fragmented into a large number of small orders. We have been able to meet the clients’ new requirements and remain on the market also thanks to the flexible production offered by the Haas CNC machines. We responded to new challenges by buying Haas lathes with feeders, which enabled us to manufacture certain rotating parts of pipes and rods. We thereby eliminated the process of manufacturing "blanks" for turning, and we managed to keep our price at a competitive level. It was a difficult time..." says the manager of 3T.
