MyHaas - Customer Geolocation

Introduction

This procedure shows customers how to geolocate their machine using the MyHaas app. 

If you believe your machine needs geolocation, reach out to your Haas Factory Outlet (HFO) to start this process. Find Your Distributor. 

Reasons this might need to be done: 

  • Arm a triggered motion sensor (Alarm 9191 Machine Moved). 
  • Make a 5-day motion sensor disable code available.
  • Some field install options require the machine to be geolocated. 

Requirements:

  • A work order made by the Haas Factory Outlet (HFO)
  • MyHaas app version 2.8.0 for both Android and IOS
  • MyHaas account

Note: The serial number of the machine being geolocated does not need to be assigned to the MyHaas account. Any account can do the geolocation. 

 Note: All geolocations must be approved by Haas before codes will be available. This typically takes one business day to review. Your HFO will notify you if geolocation was successful and that codes are available, or if additional information is required. 

Instructions

Open the MyHaas app and log in [1]. 

A MyHaas account is required and is not available to guests. If the customer does not have an account, they can create one by selecting "Create My Haas account" [2] and following the account creation process. 

The machine's serial number does not need to be assigned to the account performing the geolocation.

Select Geolocate [1].

Type in the serial number of the machine and enter the code provided by your HFO [1]. 

Swipe left to go to the next step.

Review the notice and type in your name [1]. The email address will already be populated with the account's email address [2].

Take a picture of the front of the building (including identifying business markers such as the company name, logo, or address), the front of the machine (where the pendant is), and the serial number plate. Swipe left after each picture.

After all the photos have been taken, review everything submitted. If everything looks correct, scroll to the bottom and press submit Geolocate [1].

Confirm to submit the geolocation [1], and then the app will confirm the geolocation has been submitted for review [2]. 

The app will not indicate whether geolocation passed or failed.  

Haas reviews all customer geolocation submissions before codes are issued to a machine. 

If the review passes, the HFO will be notified, and we will be able to provide the required code to the customer. 

If the review fails, Haas's export compliance team will reach out and request additional information or provide next steps.
