VMC AutoDoor Track Replacement (MVL 1505)

Introduction

This procedure will show you how to replace the belt and track on a DC Autodoor machine. 

Important: Download the latest configuration files to make sure you have the latest autodoor parameters. 

Prerequisites

For VF-Small machines built prior to Sept 16, 2019 you will need to order the below parts in addition to the service kit.

Mill (VF-1 - VF-2)

  • 20-5512  Door Bumper Spacer qty 2 
  • 40-1614  SHCS 1/4-20 X 1 1/4 qty 2

Replacement

Remove the Autodoor motor cover [1].

Disconnect the airlines from motor assembly.

Remove the autodoor motor assembly [2].

Remove the adhesive track [3] from the top of the door.

VF Installation

VF Series:

Peel and stick the double sided tape [1] on top of the door.

Install the door track [2] on top of the double sided tape. 

Peel and stick the double sided tape [3] and center it on the autodoor track.

Place the belt [4] on top of the double sided tape, and make sure the belt is centered on the track.

Install the retaining clip [5] and screw [6] on each side of the belt.

Note: The lip of the retaining clip goes over the first tooth of the belt.

Install the autodoor motor assembly [7].

Install the autodoor motor cover [8].

VF-Small

For VF-1 to VF-2 machines built prior to 9/16/2019 you will need to install a door bumper spacer [2]  P/N 20-5512  and a longer screw [1] P/N 40-1614 on the outer end of each door.

NOTE: The spacer [2] and the screw [1] are NOT included in the kits:

  • 93-3092   AUTODOOR BELT TRACK KIT MILL S VF 2018

Lathe Installation

Lathe Series:

Peel and stick the double sided tape [1] on top of the door.

Install the door track [2] on top of the double sided tape. 

Peel and stick the double sided tape [3] and center it on the autodoor track.

Place the belt [4] on top of the double sided tape, and make sure the belt is centered on the track.

Install the retaining clip [5] and nut [6] on each side of the belt.

Note: The lip of the retaining clip goes over the first tooth of the belt.

Install the autodoor motor assembly [7].

Install the autodoor motor cover [8].

DT/DM Installation

Peel and stick the double sided tape [1] on top of the door [9].

Install the door track [2] on top of the double sided tape. 

Peel and stick the double sided tape [3] and center it on the autodoor track.

Place the belt [4] on top of the double sided tape, and make sure the belt is centered on the track.

Install the retaining clip [5] and nut [6] on each side of the belt.

 Note: The lip of the retaining clip goes over the first tooth of the belt.

Install the autodoor motor assembly [7].

Install the autodoor motor cover [8].
