NOTE: All specifications listed are for the standard machine configuration. Optional equipment may change the machine’s specifications.

*Haas machines are designed to operate on 220 VAC (200-240 VAC) power. An optional internal high-voltage transformer (380 - 480 VAC) is available for all models, except the Desktop Machines, CL-1, CM-1, and SR Series routers. This optional high-voltage internal transformer is not field installable; it must be ordered with the machine.

Haas machines destined for Europe and the UK are configured with an internal high-voltage non-isolated transformer to operate on 400 VAC, except the Desktop Machines, CL-1, CM-1, and SR Series routers.

**Optional tool changers may have a different max tool size than the standard tool changer. Extra-large tools may require two adjacent pockets empty between tools. Click here for toolholder specifications.

ATTENTION! Optional high-performance spindles may have a higher power requirement than the standard spindle. However, if the spindle horsepower (kW) does not change, the power requirement remains the same. Verify the power requirement before running power for your machine.

† Air consumption on 40-taper DC Series machines may be higher, when Through-Tool Air Blast (TAB) is activated.

      Increased Bore Size

The redesigned ST-20/Y has a 2.5" (63.5 mm) drawtube bore. It is 25% larger than its predecessor for increased bar capacity. The included chuck also has a larger throat to accomodate larger parts within the chuck jaws, or for greater clearance when boring or threading large holes.

      Improved Part Loading Ergonomics

The more compact footprint and redesigned sheetmetal of the new design yield a shorter distance between the door and center of the chuck for better ergonomics. The reduced reach to the chuck makes it easier for machine operators to manually load and unload parts.

      Increased Wedge Angle

We’ve increased the angle of the wedge from 45 degrees to 55 degrees, which improves the overall chip flow inside the work envelope, and reduces the machine’s footprint by 11%.

      WiFi Connectivity Standard

All Haas machines come standard with built-in WiFi for fast, wireless connectivity between the Haas control and a local area network. Use WiFi to easily share and transfer files wirelessly, and monitor your machine remotely via HaasConnect mobile machine monitoring. It is easily set up through the Haas control, and supports Netshare capabilities.

      • No cables required
      • Ideal for large shops with many machines
      • Ideal for shops where the machine is far from the network router
      • Easily transfer and share files
Wifi Connection. Product of Haas CNC machine tools

      Automatic Door Standard

The Haas Auto Door is available on the redesigned machines, reducing operator fatigue, and simplifying automation. The Auto Door opens the machine doors automatically via an M-code, or can open them manually via a button on the control pendant. This reduces operator fatigue during repetitive machining operations, and allows for unattended operation when used with a robotic loader or our optional APL. The doors close automatically at Cycle Start, and can be controlled via settings to open at the end of a cycle, or at an Optional Stop.

NOTE: Availability my vary by region. Not available in Europe, except with robot and APL installations.

      • Improves machine ergonomics
      • Reduces operator fatigue during repetitive machining operations
      • Operates automatically via M-code, or manually via a button on the control pendant
      • Allows for unattended operation when used in conjunction with a robotic loader or APL
      • Closes automatically at Cycle Start, and can open automatically at cycle end or an Optional Stop

      Sub-Spindle (optional)

Our optional finishing sub-spindle will not only make you more productive, but also will provide new options for finishing the 2nd-op side of your parts.

This affordable A2-5 spindle is equipped with a 5.3" (135 mm) hydraulic chuck, and will fully synchronize with the main spindle to provide effortless “in-cycle” part handoff. This allows you to finish both sides of your part in a single setup – simply load your raw workpiece, and the next time you open the door, you’ll have a finished part. A built-in part ejector propels the finished part into the optional parts catcher for automated operation. Note: Not compatible with the tailstock option.

      • 6000 rpm
      • A2-5 spindle nose
      • 5.3" (135 mm) hydraulic chuck
      • 1.3" (33 mm) spindle bore (non-through)
      • Allows fully synchronized part pass-off (up to 4800 rpm)
      • Built-in part ejector
      • Includes CNC Control Cabinet Cooler

      Two-Stage Parts Catcher (optional)

Our two-stage automatic parts catcher moves completely out of the primary work envelope during machining, and quickly moves into place when commanded at the end of cycle. For parts with short cycle times, the arm can be left in the extended position, with only the tray rotating up to catch parts at the end of cycle.

The catch tray is easily adjusted for different part-off locations, and can be positioned to catch parts from either the main spindle or optional sub-spindle.

      Automatic Parts Loader (optional)

The Haas Automatic Parts Loader is a simple and affordable way to automate part production and boost productivity on Haas turning centers. It is designed and built exclusively for use on Haas turning centers, and connects directly to the Haas control.

      • All-inclusive design, with plug-and-play capabilities to Haas ST-10 through ST-25 turning centers, including Y-axis models
      • Interfaces directly with the Haas control
      • Accommodates parts up to Ø5.8" x 5" x 10 lb (Ø147 x 127 mm x 4.5 kg)
      • Includes light curtain for safe operation
      • Made in the USA

      New Tailstock Design (optional)

The new tailstock design allows setting the hydraulic pressure as low as 60 psi (4.1 bar) to minimize part deformation when machining thin parts. The Acme screw drive system provides better tailstock support during heavy roughing operations.

      Sonitek Corporation

Sonitek Corporation (Milford, CT) manufactures ultrasonic welding and heat staking equipment used for assembling and forming thermoplastic parts for a variety of industries. The company leverages the advanced capabilities of Haas machines, including a 5-axis VF-5SS with TR210 rotary, and a Y-axis ST-20Y lathe, to streamline their operations and reduce setups – significantly optimizing their production timelines.

      One Off Coating LLC

"We started off doing cerakotes for the firearms industry. Initially it was just smaller, individual projects, which eventually grew into larger-scale production. We started doing laser engraving as well. We bought the ST-20Y so that we could grow into the machine. Having the live tooling and the Y-axis capabilities will allow us to do a lot more. I didn’t want to purchase a machine that we would outgrow too quickly. I wanted to be able to tackle any project we needed to do."

      – Tom Bacher, Owner

      Machined Casting Specialties

"Our niche is casting, we do our bar stock work, we do solids work but iron castings and aluminum castings is the core of our business. We primarily make skillets for a company. Another aspect of being able to these cast iron skillets was the lids that go to the skillet. The lids need knobs with the customers logo engraved on the knob. We were able to provide this product on a Haas ST-20Y. With live tooling sub spindle, we’re able to start with round bronze stock with the Bar Feeder and be able to use our Y-Axis to be able to do the engraving of the logo on a spherical surface and sub spindle to pick it off and do work on the backside to have a finished product come out of the machine."

      SAUNDERS MACHINE WORKS

"A key part to this machine to us was an automation solution, which is why we added the bar feeder."

      DK Custom Products

DK Custom Products was founded by Devin and Kevin to provide “better than OEM” parts for Harley Davidson owners who drive their motorcycles long distances. After initially hand-fabricating parts, they invested in their first CNC, a Haas TM-2P, to begin machining parts from billet. As production volumes grew, they added a Haas ST-20Y with Haas Bar Feeder to machine cylindrical parts that had milled features, complete. And most recently, they added a VF-2SS for high-volume parts previously milled on the TM-2P.

      Olsbergs MSE

"For more than 15 years, the innovative company Olsbergs MSE has been producing racing and custom cars. Driven by a fascination for technological development, the company today handles all design and engineering in-house. They build complete cars, prototypes, low volume products, and develop different concepts for the future

The in-house production is possible thanks to the latest purchases from Edströms, namely two different Haas machines: a Haas UMC-750SS five-axis multi-operation machine and a CNC lathe with driven tools, as well as an ST-20Y Y-axis. This allows the company to design different types of components for the cars themselves, now also at a more detailed level."
