Model, Serial Number Location

The nameplate contains the Model, Serial Number, Version of the rotary unit. 

Motor Type on Rotary

The DC Motor type rotary has a black 17 pin Amphenol connector.

DC-MOTOR-1000 (DC motor with a 1000 line encoder) - This is a rare model that can be identified by measuring the bore size of the encoder motor shaft. The bore should measure 0.5 in /12.7 mm.

DC-MOTOR-2000 (DC motor with a 2000 line encoder) - This model that can be identified by measuring the bore size of the encoder motor shaft. The bore should measure 0.314 in / 8 mm.

The AC Motor Sigma 1 type rotary cable has (2) black twist and lock connectors.

The AC Motor Sigma 1- 08 type rotary has the same cable as the AC Motor Sigma 1, and has the letter "H" suffix after the model.

 Note: All HRT's Version P1 have this type of motor.

As of April 1, 2013 there will no longer be a COR charge. Sigma 1 will now be a selectable configuration item "SIGMA 1" with an associated retail price and dealer net cost.

The AC Motor Sigma 5 type rotary cable has (2) grey twist and lock connectors.

Note: All P3 & P4 Versions have the Sigma 5 Motor.


AC Motor Sigma 5 Rotary Tables (HRT series) and Indexers rotary models began manufactured after March 1, 2012.

AC Motor Sigma 5 Tilting Tables (TR series and T5C series) rotary models began manufactured after May 1, 2011.

Rotary Specialty Model

Identify the specialty model by the suffix found on the serial number nameplate.

SP = Compact Edition
HS = High Speed
SHS = Super High Speed
SS = Super Speed
M = Modified Body for Upright Mounting

The suffix for this rotary table is SHS = Super High Speed.

 

Strip Magnet on Tilting Axis

All tilting tables built after November 2002 or with serial number 900628AB or higher have the strip magnet installed on the tilting axis.


A tilting table with a strip magnet finds the home position approximately +/- 5 degrees from the platter horizontal position.

 

A tilting table with the button magnet finds the home position approximately 127 degrees from the platter horizontal position.
