Connect the compression fitting[1] to the air nozzle. Connect the air nozzle to the air line[3] with the adapter fitting[2]. Use the hose clamps to secure the the air blast assembly to the sheetmetal. Install the grommet to the sheet metal and route the braided air line into the sub-spindle casting and route it through the sub-spindle conduit and route to the CALM cabinet. Connect the end of the braided air line[4] to the adapter[5] and connect the push-to-connect fitting[6].

Route the airline into the CALM cabinet. Remove the NPT plug from the location SECOND SPINDLE AUTO JET BLAST SOLENOID (GREEN) shown on the AIR - LUBRICATION SYSTEM - PICTORIAL. Install the solenoid to the air manifold into the Connect the green hose to the solenoid.

Plug the solenoid into the TRP PRE-CHARGE/UMC AUTO WINDOW molex connector.

Remove the existing sub-spindle head sheet metal[1,2].

Install the retrofit sub-spindle head sheet metal[3,4].

Connect the compression fitting[1] to the air nozzle. Connect the air nozzle to the air line[3] with the adapter fitting[2]. Use the hose clamps to secure the the air blast assembly to the sheetmetal. Install the grommet to the sheet metal and route the braided air line into the sub-spindle casting and route it through the sub-spindle conduit and route to the CALM cabinet. Connect the end of the braided air line[4] to the adapter[5] and connect the push-to-connect fitting[6].

Install the sub-spindle air blast mount[1] the the lifting point on the sub-spindle casting. Connect the compression fitting[2] to the air nozzle. Connect the air nozzle to the air line[4] with the adapter fitting[3]. Use the hose clamps to secure the the air blast assembly to the sheetmetal. Install the grommet to the sheet metal and route the braided air line into the sub-spindle casting and route it through the sub-spindle conduit and route to the CALM cabinet. Connect the end of the braided air line[4] to the adapter[5] and connect the push-to-connect fitting[6].

Route the airline into the CALM cabinet. Remove the NPT plug from the location SECOND SPINDLE AUTO JET BLAST SOLENOID (GREEN) shown on the AIR - LUBRICATION SYSTEM - PICTORIAL. Install the solenoid to the air manifold into the Connect the green hose to the solenoid.

Plug the solenoid into the TRP PRE-CHARGE/UMC AUTO WINDOW molex connector.

Remove the conduit clamp and bracket from the sub-spindle head sheet metal.

Remove the existing sub-spindle head sheet metal rear panel.

Install the retrofit sub-spindle head conduit clamp assembly.[1,2,3].

Install the retrofit sub-spindle head sheet metal panel.

Install the sub-spindle air blast mount[1] the the lifting point on the sub-spindle casting. Connect the compression fitting[2] to the air nozzle. Connect the air nozzle to the air line[4] with the adapter fitting[3]. Use the hose clamps to secure the the air blast assembly to the sheetmetal. Install the grommet to the sheet metal and route the braided air line into the sub-spindle casting and route it through the sub-spindle conduit and route to the CALM cabinet. Connect the end of the braided air line[4] to the adapter[5] and connect the push-to-connect fitting[6].

Route the airline into the CALM cabinet. Remove the NPT plug from the location SECOND SPINDLE AUTO JET BLAST SOLENOID (GREEN) shown on the AIR - LUBRICATION SYSTEM - PICTORIAL. Install the solenoid to the air manifold into the Connect the green hose to the solenoid.

Plug the solenoid into the TRP PRE-CHARGE/UMC AUTO WINDOW molex connector.

Turn on the machine.

Login to the HAAS SERVICE PORTAL.

Download the Sub-Spindle Air Blast option configuration patch files.

Note: The option files will appear on the configuration download page after the Sub-Spindle Air Blast Kit has been ordered.  If the option does not appear contact the service department.

Load the option configuration patch file to the control.  Refer to the NEXT GENERATION CONTROL - CONFIGURATION FILE - DOWNLOAD/LOAD procedure.

M112 and M113 activate the optional Sub-Spindle Air Blast. M112 turns the air blast on and M113 turns the air blast off. M112 Srrr Pnnn (rrr in RPM and nnn is in milliseconds) turns the air blast on for the specified time, rotates the spindle at the specified speed while the air blast is on, then turns off both the spindle and the air blast automatically.
