The non-restrictor flow grease lubrication system is an equal length system that pumps grease through flexible plastic tubing and copper tubes to the axes.

1. Grease Reservoir Assembly - Stores the grease.
2. Grease Filter Wrench - Removes the grease reservoir.
3. Axis-Lube Air Solenoid - Pressurizes the grease reservoir [1].
4. Air-Lube Panel Decal - Shows the color-coded cables that connect each solenoid.
5. Oil Reservoir - Stores the oil that lubricates the spindle.
6. Air Pressure Gauge - Shows the pressure (in psi and bar) at which the air is regulated.
7. Air Manifold Assembly - Supplies air to the machine.

1. Main Distribution Manifold - Sends grease to the axis manifolds.
2. Main Distribution Manifold Pressure Switch - Monitors the grease supply pressure and sends a signal to the control to generate an alarm if the pressure drops too quickly.

Axis Lubrication Cycle

The grease reservoir lubricates the axes at a rate of (1) pump cycle for every 24 hours of axis motion.

Grease moves from the grease-canister [1] through flexible plastic tubing to the main distribution manifold [2].

Grease moves from the main distribution manifold [2] to the axis manifolds [3].

Note: The amount of axis manifolds may be different on some machines.

Note: Each axis has (2-6) linear guide trucks [4] and (1) ballnut [5].

Grease moves from the axis manifolds through copper tubes. The copper tubes lubricate the linear guide trucks [4] and ballnut [5].

Axis Manifold Fitting Information

The non-restrictor flow grease lubrication system uses adapter fittings [1] in axis manifolds. The linear guide trucks also use adapter fittings [2]. There are no restrictor fittings in this system. The flow of grease is controlled by equal length flexible plastic tubing and copper tubing to each distribution point.

Note: Adapter fittings are smaller than restrictor fittings and do not restrict the flow of grease.

Note: The copper tubes on this system are equal length.

Note: Do not change the length of the copper tubes or flexible plastic tubing. This changes the flow of grease.
