Jobber-length drills are the most common, general-purpose drills. They feature a long length compared to their diameter, and offer a good balance of strength and accuracy for drilling in a wide range of materials.
These Cobalt (M42) drills are harder than high-speed steel (HSS), and provide better wear resistance and higher hardness. The 135° split point is self-centering, and designed to drill hard, high-strength, tough materials. The TiN (Titanium Nitride) coating increases hardness and heat resistance, allowing these drills to run at higher speeds and feeds than HSS.
