5.1 MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE

Overview

This chapter provides information on what maintenance is needed for the Haas Laser Marker. There is a maintenance schedule as well as instructions on how to perform the required maintenance.

Maintenance - Laser Marker

In order to operate the Laser Marker safely, maintenance is recommended on the fume extractor. The fume extractor is used to prevent particles in the air. The fume extractor is equipped with four filters that will need to be replaced periodically. See the table below to see the recommended maintenance for the fume extractor. 

NOTE: Maintenance can vary depending on the operational usage of the Laser Marker.

 Replace every 3-6 months 1

Fume Extractor Maintenance Procedure

With the fume extractor power switched off, disconnect the power cable from the unit. Unscrew the hose clamp to disconnect the fume extractor hose.

 Unclamp the lid to reveal the four filters.

With the fume extractor lid removed, remove the existing filter elements as necessary. Grab handles can be found on the side of the filter elements, to assist with handling. 

NOTE: Labelling or noting the filters as specified by the table at the top of this page will make installation/uninstallation an easier process.

Reinstall the filter elements as specified by the table at the top of this page.

The filter elements should easily slide into place into the fume extractor unit. Each filter element (besides the top cotton layer) includes labels that specify the correct orientation for proper air flow.

With the filter elements reinstalled, simply latch the fume extractor shut, reinstall the fume extractor hose, and reconnect the power. The unit should be ready for operation.
