This CAT40 NPU13 NC keyless drill chuck accepts a wide range of drill sizes (0.039" to 0.512"), and has a 3.54" gage length. The drill chuck is versatile and easy to use, and is integrated with the toolholder into a single body for a more compact design. This chuck has a 5/8"-11 pull stud/retention knob thread.

So happy with my new Keyless Drill Chuck. No more chuck keys for me! was my first one and am impressed by the quality and finish. I am running it on an older manual machine at low RPM so it does everything I need it to do. would recommend getting the Spanner Wrench if you don't have one.

Hard to beat value & convenience of HAAS Tooling and this drill chuck

Keyless Drill chuck is pretty sweet
This is my third drill chuck and though I don't have super high expectations on accuracy. all 3 of these spin to under .0015 tir. I intend on buying more of these. At those accuracy levels they have tons of application.

Excellent CT40 drill chuck
I ordered two of these, they both arrived quickly, shipping and packaging was solid, and I've been running them both for 2 weeks now with no problems. These have a shorter gauge length than my older set, and I now prefer these compared to the older ones I have. Don't forget to buy pull studs and the wrench to tighten the chuck. This is now my go-to chuck for all drilling, and I plan to buy more in the future.

A Drill Chuck for You
Having just purchased my first 40 taper machine, I turned to Haas CNC tools online to get my starter set of tool holders together. In this starter set I made sure I ordered this chuck which has proven itself already. Smooth bearings, 0.0004” runnout, and spanner wrench hole for when things get tight on you. I would recommend this product.

I'm really impressed by these chucks. My default has always been Albrecht, but these are just as smooth and accurate, and the jaws are titanium nitride coated! A new Albrecht is about $400, so this chuck on a Cat 40 holder for $128 is just a super deal. Thanks

This chuck makes setting up drills easy and when you use the 06-0385 NPU13 Keyless Drill Chuck Spanner Wrench, it helps you apply extra holding force to the drill so that it does not move in the holder.

Exceptional value
While I must admit I was hesitant to buy this drill chuck concerned with run out as I have in the past been using MUCH more expensive drill chucks. I decided for the price the worst that could happen is I would just not like it and be out not a lot of money. I have found this to be more than acceptable and of good quality. While I wish the knurling was slightly more aggressive I can accept the fact it simply is what it is.

Great Value and Quality
Over the past few years we have bought over 10 of the CT40 Keyless Chucks. They are a great value and we are in the process of changing all of our drilling chucks out. They are an all-in one drilling chuck that includes to CT40 Mount for the best run-out possible. They are also very good quality that match our Albrecht Chucks. Excellent value drill chuck
I purchased 4 of these drill chucks for a drill intensive job. I am impressed with the overall quality, the TiN coated jaws are a nice touch! I could buy 12 of these for the same price as my Albr***t Cat40 chuck, allowing me to save it for more critical tasks.

Good chuck, but don't forget to buy a wrench!
I ordered one of these a couple of month ago to try out because we were having some problems with the keyed chucks we were using. Wearing the jaws out quickly was the biggest issue. When I saw that I could order this chuck for only 50% more than I was paying for rebuild kits for my other chucks it was an easy decision to start switching to these. Less runout, not time wasted doing the rebuild, the chuck can't separate from the CT40 taper. If we wear the jaws out and I have to replace it I get a pristine CT40 taper instead of reusing the same one with the rebuilt keyed chuck and I can just swap over the pull stud and be back in business I did have to replace my first chuck with a new one because I didn't realize that the spanner wrench was sold separately. It worked fine with smaller drills, but I would highly recommend using the wrench to tighten down on larger drills so that you're sure they won't spin in the chuck and wreck it.

Very nice chuck for holding small diameter drills

Quality drill chuck
I bought an old VF-0 and installed it in my barn so my 2 kids and 2 nephews can start to learn a skilled after school. My thought was if they learn without wips/probing they would learn more about work holding/locating. I'm always looking for bargains. With Haas tooling pricing and quality there is no reason to shop the used market. Quick delivery and reasonable shipping make them my first stop for tools. Love the 3" shell mill with HOP inserts, leaves a mirror finish on aluminum.

Excellent chuck quality, great value!
I have now purchased 3 of these Haas CAT40 Keyless Drill Chucks. Initially I bought 1 to see what it was like and measure TIR. I was surprised! I got less than 3 tenths when I used a plug/pin gauge. The second unit got less than 2 tenths. They look and feel solid and appear well made. The cream on top is the price. These are less expensive than the Techniks which typically run about $145 each and IMO, these Haas drill chucks are better.

Keyless drill chuck better than expected
Very good quality chucks. I have been using them in my VF2ss for several weeks now and I am more than happy with them. They go all the way down to .040” diameter bits and hold them very well and run very true. The entire holder assembly is nicely made and the tightening them is very smooth. Highly recommend them for multi purpose drilling needs. Will be buying more.

I was amazed at the craftsmanship and robustness of the chuck, mine had a TIR of .001 at the end of a .250 X 4" drill rod. The Shars "equivalent" chuck has a TIR of .003 on the same test.

Great quality at a very good price
I was very pleasantly surprised. I expected good quality from Haas, but this CAT40 drill chuck was very high quality. I have several Albrecht keyless chucks and this Haas chuck is equal or better. Tighten the chuck down with no drill and note how even and cleanly the 3 grips come together. The movement is smooth and silky. Very nice.

Impressed with quality
Ordered as a test to see how it looked and performed and was impressed. Occasionally we use very small drills, and these keyless chucks work great for that. However, not all are created equal. This one from Haas impressed us and was well worth the cost. Will order more in the future.
