This procedure will show you how to upgrade a 15" LCD CNC equipped with a CF-2 Processor PCB to a Maincon Processor PCB. Do a machine backup before proceding with this procedure.
Important: This procedure is to be peformed by a qualified service technician.
Caution: When you do maintenance or repair on CNC machines and their components, you must always follow basic safety precautions. This decreases the risk of injury and mechanical damage.
Danger: Before beginning any work inside the control cabinet the High Voltage indicator light on the 320V Power Supply / Vector Drive must have been off for at least 5 minutes.
Some service procedures can be dangerous or life-threatening. DO NOT attempt a procedure that you do not fully understand. If you have any doubts about doing a procedure contact your Haas Factory Outlet (HFO) and schedule a service visit.
Open the control cabinet.
Remove the processor stack cover.
Disconnect the cables from the Mocon PCB.
Note: Make sure you make all the cables before you disconnect them.
Remove the Mocon PCB.
Disconnect and Remove the ENET PCB (PC104) if equipped.
Remove the Cold Fire 2 PCB.
Remove the RS-232 PCB.
Remove the back pendant cover.
Disconnect the cables going to the SKBIF.
Remove the SKBIF PCB.
Remove the Beacon light.
Install the Maincon PCB.
Install Mocon2 PCB if equipped.
Install the SKBIF PCB.
Install the RS-232 PCB.
Install the LED Beacon Light.
Connect the wires acording to the Refer to the interconnect diagram shown below:
