“It started with one TL-3, and just built and built from there,” says T.J. Arceneaux, owner of Top Gun Machining in Lafayette, Louisiana. Top Gun is all about machining the big stuff! MKT Metall- und Kunststoffverarbeitung GmbH was founded in November 1999 by Steffen Totzauer. With 8 employees at the time, drawing parts were produced from composite materials (hard tissue, hard paper . . .) on conventional machines. These were, for example, ball bearing cages, bushings, or insulation plates for mechanical and plant engineering. During the period of 2001-2020, more than 50 CNC-controlled turning and milling centers were purchased from Haas.
