What Is MyHaas?

The MyHaas application is used for monitoring and sending files to NGC Haas machines.

On the Machine

  1. Press [SETTING].
  2. Select the Network tab.
  3. Select the MyHaas sub-tab.
  4. Press [F1].
  5. Press [ENTER] to accept the disclaimer.

 

The MyHaas screen shows the machine serial number and a PIN code. Record these numbers.

 

On the MyHaas Website

Log in to MyHaas.

Put your mouse cursor over My Machines and click Add New Machine.

Fill in the fields with the machine serial number, PIN code, and a nickname. A descriptive nickname can help you quickly identify the machine in the list.

Click Submit.

Select the initial notifications you want to receive for this machine, and then select Continue. You can change your selections later; refer to the Administrator's Guide for more information.

Select the notification method for the user(s) who will receive notifications about this machine. Remember that you can only send text messages to verified mobile telephone numbers. You can change your selections later; refer to the Administrator's Guide for more information.

On the MyHaas App

Log in to MyHaas on the app and press My Machines [1]. Then press either the plus at the top right or add machine [2]. 

Enter the serial number [3] of the machine and nickname [4] for the machine. Then select a group for the machine will be sorted with. Confirm the information on the next few pages is correct and enter the PIN number [5] generated on the machine. 

 

On the Machine

When the machine and MyHaas first begin communicating, a connection success screen is shown.

The machine is shown on your list of machines on the MyHaas website, and you can adjust the notification settings on the site. Refer to the Administrator's Guide for more information about notification setup.

Managing Users

As a MyHaas administrator, you are responsible for managing the users, the machines, and the machine alerts in your organization's account.
 
Log in to MyHaas and click My Users to access the user management menu, where you can:
  • Add new users
  • Delete users
  • Designate additional administrators

To add a new user, put the mouse cursor over My Users [1] and click on the Add User option.

To add someone as to a company they must first register here. 

Then fill in the fields with the user's email address, first name, and last name. It is important that these fields are the exact same as when the account was made. 

User Management Options

The Administrator button lets you toggle a user's administrator status.

The button is colored green for each administrator.

The Delete button lets you remove a user account from your organization's account.

 Note: You cannot delete your own account.

Managing Machines

This section tells you how to manage machines that are already added to your account. Click here for the procedure to add machines to your account.

  • Click My Machines to access the current list of machines.
  • The machine list gives you the Serial Number, Model, current Status, and Nickname for each machine. If you click on a machine you will have options for Notifications and Actions for each machine.
  • Clicking on a machine opens a page with all the information and options for that machine.

     Note: If you delete a machine, you can add it again, but you must repeat the machine verification process (refer to this procedure for more information). Be sure to delete machines if you sell or transfer them.

User Management Options

For each of your machines, you can choose which notifications you want and who gets those notifications

You can choose to receive notifications for these events:

  • Program Started
  • Program Stopped
  • Feed Override
  • Spindle Override
  • Rapid Override
  • Alarms

For each machine, you can change the events for which you want to receive notifications, and which users receive those notifications.

To send notifications to a particular user, click the button in that user's row for them to get notified.

Introduction

This document tells you how to use the MyHaas Mobile Application (MHMA). This application lets you use your mobile phone to remotely monitor your MyHaas-enabled machines. You can also receive MyHaas alerts and notifications through the MHMA.

Before you continue with this document, perform these steps:

  • Download the MHMA on your mobile device from the App store or from the Google Play store.
  • Make sure that you have a MyHaas account. For instructions to create this account, refer to MyHaas - Create an Account.
  • Make sure that you have (1) or more Haas machines registered on your MyHaas account. For instructions to register a machine, refer to MyHaas - Machine Registration.
  • Make sure that your mobile device is connected to the internet.

MyHaas Mobile Application

Warning: Most of the user interface is the same between iOS and Android. The following screen shots were taken from an iOS device. Android devices may have a few slightly different user interface elements.

When you open the MHMA for the first time, the ALLOW NOTIFICATIONS message is shown.

Tap [ALLOW NOTIFICATIONS] or [CLOSE] to continue.

The Dashboard screen is shown each time you open the HCMA.

From the Dashboard, tap the [SETTINGS] icon [1].

From this screen, you can do these actions:

  • Toggle Alert Options. The button is green to show you the alert is on.
  • View the frequently asked questions (FAQ). This option opens the MyHaas website on your phone's web browser.
  • Send feedback for the HCMA. This option opens the MyHaas website on your phone's web browser.
  • View the App Version.
  • Tap [SIGN OUT] to log off of the HCMA.

In the My Machines section of the app you can select a machine to get more details about it.

From the Dashboard, tap a registered Haas machine. This will take you to the Activity screen. This example uses DT-1 Demo Room.

From the Activity screen, you can do these actions:

  • View all events.
  • Toggle the notifications from the Set Events screen.
  • Edit users in the Users screen.

From the Activity screen, tap the [SETTINGS] icon [1].

From this screen, you can toggle the set event notifications. You receive a notification when an active event occurs on the machine. The button is green to show you the notification is on.

Overview

The MyHaas application is used for sending files from a iOS or Android device to the control (NGC) on a Haas Machine.

Machine Requirements:

General Network Troubleshooting

Use the following to troubleshoot general networking problems with your Haas CNC.  For specific problems refer to the Symptom table below:

Wire Connection:

  • Use a Network cable tester tool to check the ENET cable integrity.
  • Check the network connection points. Note: Never assume the cable or the wall connection is good.
  • Make sure that cables are not routed near high power cables, as noise can be induced.
  • Make sure that cable length runs follow the manufactures specification.
  • Inspect the ethernet ports for bent pins at switches and on the CNC.
  • Try another network switch port.
  • Bypass the Ethernet port on the side of the machine and connect the customer's ethernet cable directly to the Maincon PCB.
  • If  all connections look good,  do a continuous ping tests for at least 5-10 minutes should weed out any intermittent connection issues.
  • Use DHCP if possible to minimize IP addressing issues.

Wireless Connection:

  • Make sure you have a good strong signal at the machine. Move the WiFi router closer to the machine.

NOTE: Signal can look excellent, but if a microwave oven or other source of electromagnetic interference is nearby it can cause intermittent connection issues that are difficult to troubleshoot.

  • Make sure you start with line of sight between antennas and go from there. It’s not required to have line of sight, but it’s a place to begin troubleshooting from.
  • Make sure all antennas are vertical. Some folks like to have their routers with antennas bent at an angle because it looks edgy. This impedes signal gain that antennas use to push signal on the horizontal plane (think donut shapes).
  • Our machines use 2.4Ghz so microwaves, Bluetooth, wireless home phones and other RF sources can interfere.
  • Use DHCP if possible to minimize IP addressing issues.
  • Reset the WiFi router, or try another WiFi router.
  • Make sure the WiFi antenna is properly connected to the machine.

Symptom Table

Symptom Possible Cause Corrective Action
The CNC cannot connect to MyHaas The WIFI connection got corrupted. Turn off/on the Wifi on your mobile device then try again.  If it still won't connect restart your phone and cycle the power on the machine.
The wireless network signal is weak.  Confirm the network connectivity is strong when using Wi-Fi.
The wired and wireless connection are Enabled at the same time. Use only one connection method wired or wireless.
The CNC is not connected to the Internet. Check the CNC IP address and make sure it has access to the Internet.

Setting 143 Machine Data Collect Port is set to 8082. Do not set Setting 143 Machine Data Collect Port to 8082, this port number is reserved for MyHaas.
The DNS entries are out of sync. Ping cloud.haascnc.com from a PC on the same network as the CNC and make sure it resolves to 4.7.107.217
The HaasCloud Server value is not set correctly. Go to Settings>Network> MyHaas > Make sure the HaasCloud Server is set to cloud.haascnc.com:2800
The port 2800 and CNC IP are being blocked by the company firewall.

Make sure port 2800 and CNC IP address are not being blocked by the company firewall.  Have the IT technician check that port 2800 can be access from outside of the company.

Windows PC:

1. type ‘powershell’ on the command prompt of a computer connected to the same network

2. type in the following command: ‘Test-NetConnection cloud.haascnc.com -p 2800’

A successful connection would show:

MyHaas - Machine Registration
The time expired on the pin number. There is a 10 minute timer from when you get the pin number on  a machine to when you need to enter it into MyHaas or else you need to start over. 

Introduction

HaasDrop is a feature of the MyHaas app that allows users to upload files to the machine. These files can be displayed using the M code M130 and removed from the display with the code M131.

Device Setup

Download and install the MyHaas application from the Apple App store or Google play store.

Press [SETTING], navigate to the Network [1] > Haas Drop [2].

Open the MyHaas app and select HaasDrop [4].

Press [F4] to Enable MyHaas.  A QR code [3] will appear on the screen.

Open the MyHaas application and select Scan QR Code [5]. 

Scan the QR code on the Haas control. A pop will show "MyHaas" wants to Join Wi-Fi Network... Select Join [6] to continue.

Select the + or the Add Files [7] to select files.

Select the type of file [8]:

  • Photo - This allows you to capture a photo directly from MyHaas.
  • Video - This allows you to capture a video directly from MyHaas.
  • Photos Library/Media files - This shows you the photos and videos stored on your iOS device.
  • Files - This shows zip, pdf, txt, and nc files on the Files app for your iOS device.

Select the files you want to transfer.  Select Done to continue.

Enter the file name and select Save [9] to continue.  This allows you to rename the file you are sending to the control.

The file [12] will be saved on the User Data [10] tab, on My Media [11] folder.
